Living on Artificial Nutrition – My Journey

💡 Living on Artificial Nutrition – My Journey 💡

Since 2018, my life has been powered not by food, but by a line and a bag. I live on Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), which means all my nutrients go directly into my bloodstream. No meals, no snacks, no treats — just liquid life support.

It hasn’t been easy. There have been moments of anger, grief, and frustration watching the world eat around me while I can’t. I’ve faced infections, setbacks, and times where my body and mind felt like they were at war with each other.

But here’s the thing: I refused to let TPN define me. Instead, I chose to turn it into part of my identity — the TPN Explorer. I’ve travelled the UK, from the dramatic peaks of the Lake District and rugged Welsh landscapes, to the breathtaking coasts of England and the wild beauty of the Isles of Skye, Harris, and Lewis. I’ve driven the NC500, hiked mountains, and chased adventure wherever I can.

My message is simple: living on artificial nutrition is tough, but it doesn’t mean life is over. We can still laugh, love, travel, explore, and chase challenges. The fuel might be different, but the fire inside is still the same. 🔥

If you’re a fellow tubie, know this — you are not alone. Our journeys may look different, but our strength is unshakable. 💪
